Australia Day Chill out at the Hall, Memberships due, and What’s On

Hello all and welcome to 2018!

Yes, it’s time to kickstart the New Year at the Hall in a relaxed way.  So –

Australia Day Evening Chill Out

Friday 26th January, from 5 pm
All members are invited to join the committee for a relaxed evening.   BBQs will be available to use (BYO food), beverages available for purchase, and light informal games.  As the weather may be hot during the day, we’ll keep largely inside – cards, darts, table tennis, Wasgijs, any game you like.  (Not toooo rude, though.) This is a very informal get together.  RSVP if you can so I know how many cups to wash.

It’s also a chance to christen our new ramp currently under construction.  (With a small G&T deck for yours truly.)  We’ve come a long way in the last year.  Activities at the Hall are expanding, with proposals for ukulele/music, book club, film club? Drumming, computer sessions, and Seniors Fitness, to be added to the existing pantheon of Yoga, line dancing, writers group, and occasional seminars.  (Keep a lookout for the next session on birds.)  And this is in addition to social activities.  Anyone with ideas now has an opportunity to put them into practise.  (Pole dancing, anyone?)

Membership Renewals

It being the new year, and our financial year ending in December, it’s also time for members to renew their memberships.  We carried over everyone’s membership for 2017, but this year everyone needs to renew.  At $10 per annum per adult, it’s good value, and some activities are members only.  You can pay cash, cheque or direct deposit, but not paypal or bitcoin.  Don may accept gold or shares.  Sort that out with him.  If paying directly, the bank account number is:
Westpac BSB: 034 175
Account No. 590079

Yours in a languid Australia Day (no, they wouldn’t let me call it Invasion Day).
